"Good things come to those who wait" has become a cliche now a days. People don’t give extra effort in waiting in this age of "instant" (instant noodles, instant mail, etc). But how important it is to wait especially to youth and singles?
I have this 3 reasons why we must learn how to wait.
1. Waiting for the right person saves you from huge heart break.
If we push ourselves to the person we really wanted without asking God if he’s really the one, we may end up loving someone who is not ours. It’s hard when you already invested so much feelings, energy, effort, money and all to that person and in just a snap, he’ll be gone and that’s because he’s meant for someone and that is not you. Better wait than break.
2. Waiting makes you closer to God.
When we wait, we must not wait on someone but on God. We must use our time, talent and everything to glorify God in our singleness. Waiting time makes us closer to God because we have nothing to worry. No one would demand our time except God, we’re able to align our priorities and serve Him without hindrance. We are free from making someone our “idol” and we have more time to spend in prayer, reading the Bible and quiet time.
3. Waiting opens your eyes to reality.
There are things we cannot see when our mind is pre occupied with something. In the same way, there things we cannot see when we’re inside a relationship. When we wait, God reveals us a lot of things like what should we look for our future mate, when’s the right time, what’s our calling, where will God use us and more. We can only see such things if we exert time talking to God and without distractions and that is when we wait. Being in a REALationship is a serious matter and before entering into such, we must prepare ourselves so we can be worthy to God and to our mate.
Waiting may be painful, hard and discouraging but God promised that it will be worth it. If we really want to obey and know God’s will… we must step back and wait for Him, not for him.
One of my busiest weeks this 2014!
I had a great start with my best friend, Mark. We had his pre birthday celebration at CBTL UP Techno Hub. We talked about his problems and by God’s grace, God used me to make him feel better. It was a very good first date since we’re both busy lately. I’m expecting for a part 2 :>
I had my another first this day. hmm I was rushed to the school clinic because of extreme abdominal pain and that’s the reason why I wasn’t able to take my exam scheduled on that day </3
I got a back 2 back quiz exam on my major subject, Auditing Problems, today. very difficult but ugh let it be. God will make a way.. I believe! :) and today, thesis-mates also had an overnight in our house :D it’s my friend’s (Lorie) first time!
Happy Valentine’s day!! so.. the flowers are from my bff, Mark <3 it’s his yearly “tradition” to give some hahaha. Maybe he knows that nobody would so he volunteered instead. HAHA But I appreciate everything. happy to have him as my best friend *tears*
it hurts when the person you used to call “mine” is not yours anymore. but what hurts the most is when the person you’ve been wanting to call “mine” will never be yours. EVER.
"the past week leading to this day, have been crazy happy moments but today marks the start of what i know will be happier life with you. A life of freedom and adventure, A life of love that only seems to grow stronger as we get older. A life of laughter at the silliest of things. A life of growing with each other."
not into “retweets” but i think this is worth it. <3 kilig much!

What does loving God with all your heart look like? It means you intensely desire Him. Your passion is spending yourself on Him. You delight yourself in the things of heaven. Your other affections are invisible when compared to your heart for your Father God.
